Repertoire

I run a repertoire series at least once a year, this is an opportunity for adult dancers to have the experience of learning ballet choreography in a welcoming and low pressure setting.

Repertoire usually runs in the July - September period. Details for 2025 are TBC, so please get in touch if you're interested!

Dance options

There are usually at least three dance pieces available to learn to cover a range of styles and levels of experience.

There is rehearsal after the Sunday class which is aimed at all levels of dancers from Absolute Beginner upwards.

Rehearsal after the Friday class is aimed at more experienced dancers.

All pieces are open to dancers of all genders.

2024 course details

  • 10 consecutive weeks of rehearsals

  • There is an upfront cost for the whole course but please get in touch if money is an accessibility issue. Below are the prices for 2024:

    • $100 for one dance

    • $130 for two dances

    • $160 for three dances

Performance

This is a very low pressure series - there is not a "staged" performance but we do a full run through in the studio where you can invite friends to watch.

I have made or hired costumes in the past or we use our own items - I try to make sure there is no compulsory costume levy or expectation to buy things!

balletRADICAL is committed to building a queer-inclusive community. We explicitly welcome trans, non-binary and gender diverse people, as well as asexual, aromantic, and other a-spec people as members of this community.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we gather and pay our respects to Indigenous Elders past and present. Dance and other performing arts are affected by colonisation. We recognise that First Nations people have many rich dance traditions that have a been a part of their cultures for thousands of years, but these are often overlooked by a colonial focus on western art forms.
