What to expect in a class
balletRADICAL provides ballet classes for absolute beginners and progressing dancers of all body types and genders!

We start at the barre working on simple exercises to improve posture, strength and technique. This is followed by centre work where we put the technique into practice with combinations and larger movements. Exercises are the same or similar week to week and are extended upon as dancers become more confident with the material.
If you are a first time dancer, please come in fifteen minutes before class starts so I can meet you and do a personal introduction to the basic ballet concepts and positions.

What to wear and bring

Please wear whatever you are most comfortable in for physical activity. I strongly recommend form fitting activewear - for me to be able to analyse your technique I need to be able to see your bodies; particularly backs, hips and upper legs. If you would prefer otherwise, please dress how you will feel most comfortable. I would recommend long hair be tied back away from the face for comfort during class. For footwear, socks or soft soled dance shoes (soft ballet shoes, jazz shoes, contemporary foot socks etc) are fine.
